1. Closing Date: The closing date is 17 August 2026.
2. Eligible Programmes: The HealthCARE scholarship is for the 2026 autumn intake. The following RCSI programmes are eligible:
3. Scholarship Availability: a total of five scholarships at 30% are available.
4. Eligibility: To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, deposits for the respective programme must have been paid already. This applies to all applicants. If your application for the first round of HealthCARE scholarships was unsuccessful, you will not be eligible for this round.
5. Course Commencement: Candidates must be available to commence the course in Autumn 2026.
6. Academic Requirements: The successful candidate must meet all the academic requirements to enter the programme.
7. Acceptance and Deposit: To be considered for the scholarship, candidates need to have accepted an offer and paid their first instalment on one of the aforementioned programmes.
8. Exclusivity of Scholarship: The scholarship cannot be combined with any other discount.
9. Personal Statement: To apply for the scholarship, candidates must submit a 500-word personal statement describing their role and their impact on the healthcare (or relevant) environment in which they are working. Any submission exceeding 500 words (plus 10% tolerance) will be automatically disqualified.
10. Single Application: Candidates cannot submit more than one application.
11. Deadline Compliance: Failure to comply with the stated deadlines will result in automatic disqualification.
12. Interview Process: Shortlisted candidates may be invited to interview at RCSI’s discretion. Interviews may be conducted in person or virtually, as required.
13. Contactability: Shortlisted candidates who are not contactable via the phone and/or email addresses listed on their application form will be automatically disqualified.
14. Scholarship Awarding: RCSI reserves the right not to award the scholarship if no candidates of the required calibre are identified. The panel’s decision is final.
15. Publicity Agreement: The winner of the scholarship must agree to participate in specified publicity. Details of the required publicity will be communicated to the winner.
16. No Cash Alternative: There will be no payment of a cash alternative to the scholarship holder. No substitution of the tuition fee is acceptable.
17. No Feedback Provision: RCSI will not be in a position to provide feedback to any candidate regarding the quality of their submission or reasons for non-selection for the interview.
18. Sponsorship Offer: Should the winning candidates fail to take up the sponsorship offer in a timely manner, the offer will pass to another candidate, based on the judgement of the relevant interview panel.
